Each week my home doesn’t sell in Arizona I get to drive 4 hours (from Abilene) to my new church in Anna, Texas. The drive actually passes quite quickly but I am looking for things to do while I am driving that do not include…Twitter, text, or anything that will require me to focus on something to the point of distraction from driving. Any thoughts or ideas? Comment below. Thanks for the tips.

books on tape (or cd). These are great, and sometimes you don’t even want to get out of the car when you get there! Also, you can rent them from Cracker Barrel, get them at the library, etc. They are wonderful!

yeah that is a good idea. I went with Chuck Missler this week and for the next few. I could probably listen to the same one three or four times and still not get all he says…genius!

I agree with Pharmer. I drove 75,000 miles in a year for a job I had many years ago. Audio tapes saved my sanity. The McKinney library would be a great place to start, and you do not have to be a resident of McKinney to get a card. It’s located in the downtown area just off the square.

Ortho…I am in the square this morning meeting a friend for coffee. I will check that out before I hit the road. Thanks for the tips. Glad to see you yesterday but not half as glad as your family. I will keep praying for your safe travel and the selling of your home!

Hey Phil….a good website a few of us keep up with is http://www.geeksandgod.com. Interesting podcasts are available talking about the intersection of church and technology. download a podcast and listen to it while commuting.
