I see christ in you Phil! I need you to be in contact with mith and incourage me to keep believing. We have all messed up in life, but We all need each other to help us get through our mistakes. Phil…..I need you and care about you more than you know. Together with god we can get through tough times. Thanks Steve Rounds

I think the community block parties are a great idea. It gets people introduced to those who live in the area, rather than a church swooping in and doing something one day, then disappearing the next.
there are so many ideas I have, but what about taking the mailer thing one step further, and somehow getting a cd of one of your sermons into the hands of Greater Anna……Hey, here’s a thought…..does the Anna Chamber of Commerce have a gift bag or gift basket they give to new residents? Could we arrange to put one in the bags/baskets? Can we put a nice looking booth together and begin showing up at different events….give out CD’s with a bag of homemade cookies or something?

I like the idea of putting a sermon or such in people’s hands (or basket). Maybe do that with the Chamber and also have some to hand from a booth at local events. (You can get flash drives with logos and preloaded with your data…) Block parties also sound good. I guess we just need to organize and act. I agree with your “do something”. I live on a corner in Oak Hollow so we could use my yard/house for a block party if others are interested in helping!

Thanks Steve. Christ is in all those who accept His truths and humble themselves to embrace all that the finished work of the cross means/is. Keep up the hard work bro!
Clay it appears that block parties may be a win/win for everyone. Just got a call from a pastor at another church interested in partnering together to do these parties…what do you think?
Liz, yes the chamber does have a way of getting info to new residents and we will take advantage of that as well as mailers.
Pam what does it cost to get a flash drive with a sermon preloaded? Can you get me and idea? Cool thoughts.
do you have childrens building at your church? Maybe you can do something to get the children to the church. maybe a movie night/day for children. maybe simply finding someone who needs help around their house where church members can participate in.
