Pin Oaks Christian Fellowship

The heart of Pin Oaks is to see people know Christ and to grow in that relationship and that is why this page is so hard to write…and so easy. The Story isn’t so much about our building (but it is a cool historical bank building in downtown Anna, TX), our past event and activities, or even how we got our start. Our story is summed up in the life of Christ and His followers at Pin Oaks. Ultimately our story begins and ends with Jesus…along the way or in the “dash” is where we get to live out the many facets of “our story” with Jesus.

The idea of spiritual gifts are a mystery to the unchristian and young christian. They are a tremendous challenge for the seasoned follower of Christ. Wherever you fall on that scale there is a truth for you about spiritual gifts. Find out who has them and why in our next series beginning March 7th. We will also talk about why they are so valuable and how you can begin discovering how to take yours “Out of the Box” and get maximum use out of it today!

Speak Up!

This will be a great series that challenges us all to speak courageously about the thing that means the very most in this life. Sharing about Jesus is the hardest, and yet, most rewarding thing we may ever do. With so many ways of telling people about Jesus, chances are you have been made to feel guilty for not using one persons “way.” Come and learn how you can be free from that guilt and still speak up about Christ without fear!

Enlarge Our Hearts

Every Christmas we are surrounded by anything and everything to steal our attention away from what we should be celebrating. The mad rush to find the right gift, the desperate dash to transfer money to cover credit card balances, the disappointment of family fights, and even the horror of our favorite coffee place NOT serving eggnog. We tend to get lost in the trivial and miss the significance of a birth. A baby. Lying in a manger and surrounded by people whose lives were interrupted to find that all they had come to know, and all the only way they knew how to live was all wrong. Christmas is certainly a time for generousity, it is a time to brign families together, and a time to celebrate through various ways and traditions. However, the purpose of Christmas is to recognize the birth of a Savior. Sure, we should do this more than one day a year, but this day is set aside for a specific time of focus. The birth of the Jesus should remind us that what we do during this “holiday” should ultimately draw the hearts of those around us to Christ. The difficulty is that our own hearts are rarely drawn to that purpose. This Christmas we will be striving to rid our hearts of the distractions so GOd can give us the greatest gift of all…we are asking that our hearts be full of Him. This in turn, is the sole reason we are praying for God to “Enlarge Our Hearts” so we may have more of what really counts this Christmas. Come and join us as we strive to live our life with hearts full of the Good News that Jesus is alive!
