Q & A: Sunday August 8th
We all have questions. Most of the time we are scared to ask them. Whether it is in a class room, church, or the workplace our questions need answers. Often there is usually a simple answer to the questions we have…but when they go unasked we never know. So, we are inviting you to ask your questions this August 8th. At both services we will take the questions you submit and offer Biblical answers to your questions. So, here is how you get your questions submitted:
- Send an email to Pastor Phil with your question: phil@pinoaks.org
- Post your question on our Facebook Group.
- Write it down and put it in the offering box on Sunday.
- Send us a Tweet from your Twitter Account. Make sure you follow @POCF
There you have it. It is that easy. Then make sure and show up August 8th to see if your question is answered.
2 Timothy Series: Chapter 3
The series begins Sunday, July 4th at 9:00 am and 10:30 am services.
New Series: Fan the Flame ~2 Timothy
Beginning this week we will start a new series that will take us through 2 Timothy over the course of the next 10 weeks. I have broken this down into 4 sections so we can deal with special topics in each chapter of the book.
Fan the Flame: Chapter 1 (2 weeks)
To The Core: Chapter 2 (3 weeks)
Stand: Chapter 3 (2 weeks)
Finish the Race: Chapter 4 (3 weeks)
We will be taking a break between chapters 2 and 3 for the One Prayer series led by Lifechurch.tv and discuss the notion of the church being an Unstoppable force when united under Christ as it’s head! This series will feature me and one other staff member, plus two other pastors via video! You won’t want to miss a week over the next few months. These are shaping up to be a real faith building time on our church. Come ready to grow and be used by God!
Restore
Easter services will be a great time to reflect on the life purpose of Jesus Christ. Even though He was brutally murdered, it was not without cause. Understanding that His death made way for Him to demonstrate power over death. He already demonstrated His power in life. The relevance for you today is that He wants to take your life and restore you to the state he originally intended. He does that through forgiveness. Forgiveness of what? Come and learn why Jesus had to die on the cross and be raised from the dead…
“You don’t have to wait for the End. I am, right now, Resurrection and Life. The one who believes in me, even though he or she dies, will live. And everyone who lives believing in me does not ultimately die at all.” John 11:25-26
You can walk in a new life…a life transformed by the power of God. We are a church full of people who were in need of restoration. We have all been made new…and we hope you can see that…and that you will join us each week as we seek to honor God with our lives. New Series: Starts March 7
Spiritual gifts. What exactly are they? Did I get one? Does everyone get one? How are they used and for what are they used? The idea of spiritual gifts are a mystery to the unchristian and young christian. They are a tremendous challenge for the seasoned follower of Christ. Wherever you fall on that scale there is a truth for you about spiritual gifts. Find out who has them and why in our next series beginning March 7th. We will also talk about why they are so valuable and how you can begin discovering how to take yours “Out of the Box” and get maximum use out of it today!
New 4 Week Series Starts January 10th
From the book Primal by Mark Batterson we will walk through the kind of energy, passion, wonder, and curiousity it took to turn the world upside down over two thousand years ago; and how we can become part of a movement to recapture that same spirit today. Join us starting January 10th at 10:30 AM every Sunday.
1 John Sermon Series
So many Christians claim to “know” the Bible, yet so few practice what is written on it’s pages. Some choose to ignore it because it is frustrating, doesn’t make sense, or is not culturally correct…however 1 John makes it clear that right now, in this present moment, we can be summed up by our obedience to what the Bible says. Do we really know how to love God? Do we understand the Truth of His Word? Are we people who walk with God and not just talk about Him? This series will help us explore the book of 1 John and unveil what it means to be His kids. This series will help grow is in the assurance that we are Christ’s first and the rest…well, it just doesn’t matter. Join us starting September 13th for this 6 week series in 1 John.
