What is the objective of the worship ministry at Pin Oaks Christian Fellowship? The church mission statement is “to help people meet Jesus, and grow in that relationship.” Along those same lines, the objective of the worship ministry is to help people to worship Jesus through music and the creative arts, and to grow closer to Him through that worship.
We understand that worship is not simply something that happens on Sunday morning. Worship is a lifestyle that is lived throughout the week. We understand that worship is not something that is reduced to singing a few songs on Sunday morning. Worship is when our hearts are pointed towards God in adoration for all that He has done for us, regardless of music style, environment, or preference. We worship God because He is God, not because we like the music that is being played.
The songs we select to sing on Sunday mornings speak of the saving grace of God, the glory of God, the Holy Spirit, and the power of Christ. We seek to use the musical worship time to sing songs which speak the theology of the church in ways that become ingrained in the minds of those singing.
