My prayer today is for peace and freedom from anxiety. My heart is heavy with stress and uncertainty, along with the responsibility of caring for others when faced with the possibility of furloughs and job losses. I know that God is always with me - but so many others don’t or have forgotten. I’ve had so many people in my office crying and worried about how they are going to pay their bills get medicine for their kids, or just buy food, especially when they are faced with either getting put on call or working in ICU caring for Covid patients. I pray for words of wisdom and comfort to offer to those who are hurting.

Today I am praying for the Word of God to be spread without hesitation. I pray that other pastors and myself will approach the gospel with confidence and not be afraid to speak the truth as the Bible writes it for us. Ultimately, I pray that many will chose to follow Jesus and their lives redeemed by the power of the blood.

Today I am praying for those whose jobs are being dramatically affected. Father for those who are finding themselves losing pay and experiencing fear about paying their bills and taking care of their family... let a peace fall over them that seems greater than their circumstances. Your word tells us that your peace surpasses all understanding... gift those who are scared that peace as they are filled by the knowledge you love and care for them. Also, I pray for the destruction of pride that would keep them from asking for help. neighbors, friends, and family stand ready to help and I pray they would let them.

Update: Charles passed away just a little while ago. Thank you for praying while Jesus was taking him home!
Lloyd's brother-in-law, Charles Fowler is 91 and went to the ER last night. He was admitted in ICU with pneumonia, heart issues, and low saturation. His daughter had to leave him since they are not allowing any visitors. Pray for peace and comfort. He is a believer.

Praying for friends infected by C-19 and that it will not spread to any more people in their family. Asking God to heal their bodies and strengthen those around them.
Also praying for leaders who are making decisions some cannot fathom. God make your wisdom clear to those making choices to keep people out of harms way. I pray that the light will not be hindered any longer and that the darkness is put away.
Help your people to rise up and not be quarrelsome but to seek cooperation in a spirit of unity. I pray for your church... its always been in your hands and those who have trusted you may rest assured in these times that you have not left us. Find us faithful in this time.
I also pray that as a people we would seek you.... pour our hearts out before you. May your kindness lead us to repentance. May we repent with specific and real words before you. I pray that as your people do this that they would feel released and free from the weight of their sin and learn to live in a new and joyous abundant life. Raise up your church and its people.

Please pray for my brother Garrett Welborn. His day job is as a Karate Instructor in Wylie. He misses his students. He is losing hours at work. The worst part is he’s losing friends that are being laid off. He hears the truth, but he sees a different story. I need your help to keep his Spirit in tact through this storm! Please pray for Johnny Miller. He is a plumber and is in and out of peoples houses every day. Plumbing is listed as one of the essential occupations. He has heart disease (one heart attack and two stents), diabetes and high blood pressure so his immune system is compromised. Please pray for his health and that he does not get the corona virus. I am praying for so many affected by the events in our world. I am praying there is an openness to Jesus and that people will seek Him during this time of great stress and worry. My prayer ois for his church to rise up and serve, lead, and teach with boldness. I pray for protection of our families from infection but for strength and courage to those who are already ill. I pray for this to pass quickly and that we will gather on Easter with a greater appreciation and love for Jesus than ever before.
