Book List

Well, I am looking for ideas to populate my book list for the remainder of the year. What recommendations do you have and why? Add them in the comments section… your help is appreciated!

Nonfiction: Same Kind of Different as Me by Ron Hall and Denver Moore. I know Kim’s read it. If you haven’t, you need to. It is an amazing book that EVERYONE needs to read. I have been buying the book and giving it to friends and acquaintances with instructions to pass it on.

Fiction: When Crickets Cry. By Charles Martin. This is a sweet but intense book. Very very intelligently written. The author is subtly Christian, and the book would be a great book to pass off to a nonbeliever kind of nonchalantly…..all the while delivering a mild, unsuspecting dose of Christianity. It is also not a gender specific book, and anyone who likes a great story would enjoy it.

Liz thanks for the suggestions. I read Same Kind of Different As Me last year during one of my weekends out here. Simply profound. I looked up the other on Amazon…it will go on the list. Trying to read 40 books this year plus my different walks through the Bible.
