Morning Prayers of Forgiveness

Morning Prayers of Forgiveness

Our help is in the Name of the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth.
– Psalm 124:8

Yahweh, you are in our midst, we are called by your name. Do not desert us! O our God, you are our hope.
– Jeremiah 14:9, 22

Have mercy on me, O God,
according to your steadfast love;
according to your abundant mercy
blot out my transgressions.
Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,
and cleanse me from my sin!
– Psalm 51:1-2

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace:
where there is hatred let me sow love
where there is injury let me sow pardon
where there is doubt let me sow faith
where there is despair let me sow hope
where there is darkness let me give light
where there is sadness let me give joy.
O divine master, grant that I may not try to be comforted, but to comfort,
not try to be understood, but to understand,
not try to be loved, but to love.
For it is in giving that we receive,
it is in forgiving that we are forgiven,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen.
